Born in Havana, Ernesto Quesada Perez (Tiko) began dancing at the age of 9 with the Vidanza troupe, where he explored popular and traditional Cuban styles. Upon his arrival in Montreal, he continued his training in contemporary dance at Collège Montmorency, then at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal (EDCM). There, he worked with renowned choreographers such as Charles Brecard, Andrea Peña and Marc Boivin. Passionate about streetdance, in 2017 he joined the Program directed by Andy Michel, a revelation for his freestyle practice. Since then, he has continued to study Hip Hop and urban dance in greater depth. His path is marked by a desire to fuse his Afro-Cuban roots, contemporary dance and street dance. Ernesto seeks to create an authentic body language, rooted in listening and self-expression. He values the stage as much as the creative process, and is actively involved in sharing dance. Today, he pursues a free, sensitive and deeply embodied artistic approach.
