Since 2015, Rhodnie Désir has been developing the BOW’T TRAIL project in collaboration with 15 Afro-descendant musicians from Canada and around the world. A rich journey of remembrance retracing the cultural, historical, and memory legacy of the Slave trade. Throught it, Rhodnie ambitiously reveals the historical, anthropological, social and artistic dense knowledge that still manifests and live throught the times. This has resulted in the creation of 8 new choreographic works, all originating from the BOW’T canvas (2013). From Martinique to Haiti, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, and the United States, this generous legacy now encompasses 16 choreographic-documentary productions intended for a wide audience.
