Élisabeth-Anne Dorléans is a Montreal performer, curator and researcher of Haitian background. She holds a bachelor's degree in dance from the UQAM as well as a Masters degree from the same department. As a performer, Élisabeth-Anne was lucky to work on many choreographic projects. For many years now she has been involved in the large-scale project as "l’Abécédaire du corps dansant" by Andrée Martin. She also works as a performer with the multidisciplinary artist Ève Tagny. Through her practice as a dance artist, Élisabeth-Anne attempts to deepen her questionnings around diversity, equity and the inclusion of people from diverse cultural backgrounds in contemporary dance in Montreal. She indeed believes it is important to give them a voice. This is what in fact pushed her to question the place of afro-descendant women in contemporary dance in Montreal through her master's thesis.
