Carlos-Alexis Mendoza

Carlos-Alexis Mendoza is a passionate multidisciplinary dancer who has specialized in electro dance since childhood. Born in Montreal to Peruvian parents, he has traveled to France, Spain and all over South America to compete and exchange ideas with other electro dance specialists. His expertise in this style and his thirst to deepen his knowledge of dance led him to continue his studies at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal. Thus, he collaborated on creations by José Navas, Lucie Grégoire, Jessica Serli, Manuel Roque and Xián Martinez, as well as on the repertory revival of Virginie Brunelle's “Les corps avalés” before graduating in 2022. Meanwhile, in 2019 Carlos-Alexis created “Cypher Electro” to share his knowledge and vision of this dance style. Today, he is deepening his choreographic research and aesthetic, incorporating everything that inspires him: his identity, his origins and his vision of the contemporary world.
